We're growing, and we're looking for a skilled electrician to grow with us.
The Role
You'll install, commission and look after domestic solar, battery and EV systems across the North West, working alongside our installation, roofing and project teams.
Solar and battery experience is strongly preferred, but not essential. If you're a strong, experienced electrician looking to move into renewables, we'll give you full training and formal industry-recognised qualifications in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems. Your salary grows as you gain solar and battery qualifications and take on more responsibility.
For the right person, there's also the opportunity to register as a Qualified Supervisor under our NICEIC scheme.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing and commissioning solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems
- Roof-mounted panel installs (scaffolding always provided)
- Inspection, testing and fault-finding
- Aftercare and service visits to existing customers
- Completing certification and technical documentation
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices and junior team members
- Delivering the 5-star experience our customers expect, and representing Apex Doma professionally on site
Essential Requirements
- 5+ years' experience as a qualified electrician
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (BS 7671)
- ECS Gold Card
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- A professional, customer-focused approach in people's homes
Desirable Requirements
- Solar PV and/or battery storage installation experience
- Solar PV, BESS or EV charging qualifications
- Experience commissioning domestic renewable systems
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification
What We Offer
- £45,000–£55,000 depending on experience: strong electricians moving into renewables start at the lower end, and experienced solar and battery installers start higher. A company bonus scheme comes on top
- Company electric van with home charging covered, tools and phone/tablet
- Monday to Friday, with paid overtime available
- North West based, home most nights (occasional overnight stays fully covered)
- 28 days' holiday including bank holidays

- Ongoing manufacturer training and CPD with Tesla, Sigenergy and Andersen EV
